What is World Thinking Day??

Celebrated since 1926, World Thinking Day is a day of international friendship. It is an opportunity to celebrate the Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting Movement, and speak out on issues that affect young women.

What we do on World Thinking Day:

Be Inspired by the history and impact of our global Movement. Connect with the worldwide sisterhood of Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting by acting as Country Ambassadors to celebrate the culture of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts around the world.

How To Participate:
Country Ambassadors (SU 305 ONLY)

  • Each participating troop will choose a Country from the WAGGS organization to represent. **Countries must be approved by event organizers.
  • You will then put together a booth with the following components:
    • Country Map and Facts
    • The Life of a Girl Scout in your chosen country
      • Law and Promise
      • Uniform examples
      • The names of the scout levels
      • badge differences
    • Food item to sample
    • Activity
    • SWAPS
    • Passport Stamp
  • Registration is FREE for Country Ambassadors
  • Scouts will host your booth and provide information for Tourists
  • Scouts can act as tourists and travel around to other countries when they are not hosting

  • Register ASAP- We only have the capacity for 20 Country Ambassador troops
  • Booth set up begins at 11am
  • Scouts Earn your World Thinking Day 2025 Badge when you complete the steps at the last booth!
  • 1 Troop Leader per Troop must register to submit your Country Choices

Tourists: (Open to ALL)

  • Register to be a Tourist- $10/person
  • Check in to Receive Passport at the Check-in Desk
  • Travel around to different countries and earn your passport stamp at each booth
  • Scouts will earn their World Thinking Day 2025 badge when you complete the required steps.

New This Year!

  • Earn the World Thinking Day 2025 Badge
  • By completing the required steps in your passport and visiting the "World Thinking Day" Booth (hosted by the SU), your Scout will earn the WTD 2025 badge.
  • All steps must be completed and signed off
  • Badges will be provided at End of Year AVM on May 21st 2025

All Adults must be registered, background screened and have completed the new GS Mandated Reporter Training for 2024/2025. Event organizer will check this prior to the event date.

Troop Leaders must have hard copies of Annual Permisson Forms and Health History Forms for each Girl Scout in their care. Event organizer will check this upon arrival.
