The “Culture & Courage – A Fundraiser for Ukrainian Refugees” will have guest speakers who have first-hand experience helping refugees in Ukraine along with an informational presentation about the magnitude of the humanitarian need. There will also be a special vocal performance by a Ukrainian refugee who is now living in Colorado. Attendees will have the opportunity to support both international and local organizations who are providing direct assistance to over 15 million Ukrainian refugees who have been forced to leave their homes.
Presenters include:
-Silver Creek High School student from Ukraine
-John Babiak - Denver Photographer of Ukrainian heritage who has volunteered in Ukraine within the past year
-Representatives from the Ukrainians of Colorado & Sunflower Seeds Ukraine
-Musical performance by "Zoriana" - a Ukrainian refugee who emigrated to the US 8 months ago.
The organizations benefitting from the event include: UNICEF Ukraine; MercyCorp Ukraine: UNHCR Ukraine; Ukrainians of Colorado & Sunflower Seeds Ukraine.
