WHAT: BSA National High Adventure Sea Base. The Troop 19 crew will spend sunny days sailing, fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, and camping on Big Munson Island. We’ll enjoy 7 days and 6 nights exploring low mangrove lagoons, sandy beaches and traveling the Keys on various marine vessels.
WHERE: Keys Adventure Base at the Brinton Environmental Center located 125 miles south of Miami, Florida.
WHEN: Spring Break April 2024.
Arrival At Base Date: 1:30 PM Saturday 04/20/2024
Departure For Home Date: 8:00 AM Friday 04/26/2024
WHO: Scouts who will be 12 years of age or older by April 21, 2024, and complete the BSA Swim Test as a Swimmer.
COST: We are budgeting approximately $1,900 per person. $1,200 of that will go directly to the base to cover food, equipment, and lodging. The remaining funds will be used for airfare and transportation to/from the base.
DEPOSIT: The initial $150 deposit per person is due by September 5, 2023. After that, regular monthly payments will be required over the next several months. All payments are non-refundable. Full payment required by January 2024.
