Sea Base Keys Adventure Sailing 2025

Sea Base is a unique Scouting program that offers aquatics programs found nowhere else. Troops choose adventures that could include sailing, scuba diving, rustic camping on an undeveloped barrier island, fishing, or a combination of them all. Each year Sea Base serves around 16,000 Scouts and adult leaders across locations in the Florida Keys, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and in Marsh Harbour, Bahamas.

Keys Sailing Adventure programs operate in the Florida Keys from Islamorada, FL, located 85 miles south of Miami.

Setting sail from Islamorada, crews embark on three days of live-aboard adventure at sea. Upon returning to base, they are housed in eco tents with bunk beds and air conditioning. The remainder of the adventure includes days of snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, and a visit to historic Florida Keys sights.

Sign up today for this epic adventure -- Sea Base is WAY COOL!!

FEE SCHEDULE and PAYMENT OPTIONS:

The adventure will take place between May 31 - June 5, 2024.

The Sea Base payment schedule is listed below and consists of three payments -- a "reservation" payment, an "advance" payment, and a "balance due" payment. Scouts may choose to pay in one transaction with the "All In" payment option. Additional charges will be incurred for travel, crew gear, and sundry items. Payment options for these items will be added later when costs are fully known.

  1. You can pay for any portion of this trip on a Monday troop meeting night at the Treasury table using cash or check with no service fee added.
  2. You can pay for any portion of this trip with e-Check through Cheddar Up for a 59-cent service fee. (Cheddar Up retains the fee.)
  3. You can pay for any portion of this trip with a credit card through Cheddar Up for a 7% service fee. (Cheddar Up retains the fee.)

High adventure trips are not inexpensive, and the credit card fee can get pricey. "A Scout is Thifty." (Thrifty with his money and his time. We encourage you to use the e-Check payment method.)
