About our SCA
What is the purpose of the Manhasset School Community Association?
(Our District’s Version of a PTA)
The SCA’s purpose is to promote closer cooperation between teachers and parents, school and community and to further at all times the best interests of and highest advantages in physical, mental, social and ethical education of our young people.
Did You Know?
The SCA Directly Supports:
Student Enrichment Programs – Family Theatre, Extended Extras, Saturday Series, and a variety of other Enrichment programs at the elementary level.
Summer Studies Awards and Educational Grants – Awards for studies during the summer of junior year and to further college studies of recent Manhasset graduates.
Student and Program Assistance – Financial aid programs in our schools, which allow students in need to participate in activities.
Communication – Provides parents and the community with school-related information through our website at www.manhassetsca.org, Community Education and student directories.
How Does the SCA Acquire Its Funds?
We are proudly supported by our community – families, neighbors, local businesses, teachers and more! Fundraising is an important part of providing your child the best educational experience.
