Carmenita PTSA Membership Drive 2024-2025

Dear Carmenita Cougar Families,
Here we go! It is time for another exciting school year and an important part of Carmenita Middle School is our super PTSA (Parent-Teacher-Student-Association)!
The PTSA supports critical academic needs, is an active voice on decisions that impact your child’s health, safety, and quality of education, and builds a stronger, more inclusive school community.
We invite you to "power up" by joining our PTSA because increasing our membership, even by one, makes it possible to fund a variety of experiences and elements for our students. Our PTSA accomplishments from the 2023-2024 school year include:
*Annual Fit-A-Thon Fundraiser
*Student fitness center and the PE (Physical Education) program
*Updating school technology
*New school equipment (decals for the library and locker rooms, protective pole pads for basketball and volleyball courts, new lunch area umbrellas)
*ASB (Associated Student Body) programs
*Motivational and enriching guest speakers for both students and parents (vaping, high school counseling, and college planning)
*Social events such as the winter formal dance
*Reflections contest and scholarship essay contests
*Field trips
*8th grade promotion ceremony
*Snacks during state testing week
*Supported the Green and Gold awards night with refreshments, decor and prizes along with teacher and staff awards
Support our PTSA by becoming a member because we can do more together than apart! As incentives, all student members and guardian members who sign up for a PTSA membership will be entered into separate drawings to win a $50 Amazon gift card each. In addition, the 7th and 8th grade homerooms with the most student memberships will win a special "Super Mario" prize for each participant and their teacher!
In addition, please "1-Up" yourself by being a PTSA Sponsor through your tax-deductible donation to our 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. PTSA Sponsorships are supplemental to our annual Fit-A-Thon fundraiser taking place in October 2024 with separate donor benefits (CLICK on the sponsorship levels below to see benefits). Sponsorships are separate from Memberships.
The PTSA Membership Drive ends on Friday, September 6, 2024 so sign up as a member and sponsor before then to qualify for all the amazing benefits we are offering this year!
