Project Graduation 2025 PARENT/GUARDIAN Waiver and FAQs

**What is Westwood Project Graduation 2025?**‎‎
Project Graduation is an all-night celebration for Westwood graduates on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m May 23, 2025. Project Graduation has become an annual event for graduating seniors  around the United States in response to the deaths of graduating teens on the night of graduation. So far, this event  has kept our children safe and has shown them they can celebrate without alcohol or drugs. It also keeps them safe  from those who are under the influence and might be on the road on graduation night. ‎‎

**How does my graduate student get to go?**‎‎
Your graduate must be a Westwood High School graduate from the class of 2025. This means they must graduate  between August 2024 and May 2025 from Westwood High School, Success High School as a Westwood feeder student  or as a Westwood student who attended the RROC during the 2024-2025 school year. ‎‎

How does my graduate get into Westwood's Project Graduation? ‎‎
  • Must be on our Westwood attendance student list. ‎‎
  • Must have a signed Participation Form (please submit it before the event, but we will have a few at the door for students/parents to sign). ‎‎
  • Must have an ID - School or Driver's License ‎‎
  • Must arrive by 11:30 pm. Students will not be admitted after 11:30 pm.‎‎

Where is Westwood Project Graduation? ‎‎
We will be celebrating at Westwood High School, where the first floor will be transformed into an amazing party center. ‎‎

**Why does my child want to attend?**‎‎
  • 85%-95% of the Westwood Graduates will attend. ‎‎
  • This is the very last time they will see all their classmates and friends together. ‎‎
  • It's fun, and there's so much to do that it will be challenging to fit it all in! ‎‎
  • DodgeBall, Obstacle course, Silent Disco, Casino, Guest DJ's, life-size Hungry Hippo, Karaoke, Lawn Games, Black-Light Bingo, Line Dance Lesson, and an all new hi-energy final show. If a chill experience is more your Senior's vibe, they can enjoy an Oxygen Bar, Exotic Petting Zoo, Quiet Lounge with Hot Tea Bar, Movies, create your own Bath Salts Bar, Giant Chess and board games. Every Senior attending will get to customize a Graffiti Hat airbrushed onsite by Airbrushed Favors. Food and drinks will be served all-night long including: Cane’s, Cabo Bob’s, Sangam, Chuy’s, Saccone’s, Michelle’s Patisserie, Coffee, Energy Drinks, Candy, and more! And don't forget the Raffle prizes!‎‎

**What does my graduate wear and bring?**‎‎
The dress code is casual; wearing shorts, T-shirts, and tennis shoes is recommended. Dress to be active! ‎‎
Attendees should refrain from bringing purses and backpacks. Liquids will not be allowed. If an attendee brings a bag or purse, it will be inspected at the door before admission to the event and then checked in at our "purse check". Attendees will be able to access their property at any time, and all items will be stored in a locked room. Attendees may also want to consider wearing a sweater or jacket if they tend to get chilly. Attendees can bring thier phone and charger if desired.  ‎‎

There is not a fee to attend Project Graduation, though it does cost around $100 per student to throw this 7 hour lock-in with food, entertainment, prizes, etc. However, businesses that have traditionally sponsored and donated at high levels are lowering their donations across the board. After 6 months and hundreds of hours of committee volunteering, we are only at 57% of our fundraising goal which is why we are strongly encouraging families that can donate $100 to help keep all of our Seniors safe, to please do so. (Thank you to those that have already donated!).‎‎
We also need to collect your contact information, and you (as a guardian) must agree to the participation terms and conditions. **The parent/guardian must be available to receive a call, if necessary, during the overnight hours of the party.**‎‎
**After registering/checking out, check your email for information on volunteering at Project Graduation!**‎
