Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department Annual 2025 Memorial Day Parade
The annual Memorial Day Parade, run by the Sound Beach Volunteer Fire Department, will step off at 10AM proceeding north on Sound Beach Ave. with a memorial ceremony at the conclusion of the parade in Binney Park honoring our veterans who served from the Town of Greenwich, CT. All are welcome to attend.
Meet at 9:30am at St Claire Avenue; check in with your troop leader or Frances Wu Nobay, co-SUM. You can park at the Old Greenwich train station (no cost) or around Binney Park and then walk to the meeting spot. There is no rain date.
Girl Scout walk with troop leader and/or parent/guardian. Dress for the weather. Girl Scouts wear vests over coats, sneakers (no flip flops) and most of all a smile. Stickers/face paint on cheeks, ribbons in hair, pom poms welcome. Flags can be borrowed from Annie Brown (in front of Whole Foods Greenwich). No throwing candy or picking up candy (safety hazard to both marchers and crowds). Girls are welcome to hand out stickers, flags, flowers, buttons, beads etc.
