LASA Robotics is has a budget of $84,000 for the 2024-25 school year, and more than $30,000 of that generally comes from donations from friends & family, including employer matching.
We are currently $12,500 short of our fundraising goal.
For context, teams that consistently place at State competition have annual budgets of $150,000 to $250,000. Some have registration dues that are two or three times as much as ours, and others have a ton of corporate sponsors.
Our kids could learn important skills from our mentors even if they were using old RC car parts and cardboard to build a robot. They would at least have a lot of fun! But giving them the opportunity to work with strong materials and engage with other teams at a competitive level stokes their passion and drives them to excel.
LASA Robotics has quality students and quality mentors. Let’s find a way to give them quality materials!
