Fidelis Spring Excursion- Beauty

Join us for our FIRST EVER Fidelis Women's Spring Excursion!!!! This will be an overnight retreat taking place at St. Mary-Of-The-Woods on March 16-17th, 2024! Our Sisters will leave by Bus from SLDM the morning of March 16th to set up camp, spend the day visiting sacred sites, meeting with religious sisters, and generally enjoying the outdoors, with a mix of King's Messages based on the Theme of Beauty ! This theme uses Beauty and people living Beautiful Lifes as an analogy to the Beauty all Women are called to in their Lives through their Vocations and Callings! You WON'T want to miss out!!!

Plan of Events includes:
  • Experience of Prayer through Liturgy of the Hours, Mass at the local Cathedral, Eucharistic Adoration, Confession, the Rosary, the Angelus, and the Witness of the Saints!
  • Plus the witness of the Cloistered Nuns at the Carmelite Monastery!!!
  • King's Messages tied to the call to Holiness through sharing our Beauty with God and with others, led by the examples of the Saints, Religious sisters, and Our Lady!
  • Tour the grounds of St. Mary-of-the-Woods College to experience Catholic Culture, Sacred art and architecture, and venerate the relics of St. Theodore Guerin, Patron of our Diocese and local Indiana Saint :)
Packing List:
  • PACK: Sleeping bag or sheets, pillow, toiletries, reusable water bottle, flashlight, good hiking boots/shoes, warm clothes, Bible, Rosary.
  • Don't PACK: anything that you would be upset if damaged or lost - smartphone or any other electronic devices (will be allowed during free time in their tents). No weapons or knives of any kind; no drugs, alcohol, or other illegal substances.
