Financial Assistance Program Overview:
Financial assistance is available to support players and families with professional coaching fees for club soccer programs.
Eligible players must demonstrate financial need and reside in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, including Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Elk Grove Village, Mount Prospect, Palatine, Rolling Meadows, and Wheeling.
Funding is solely for coaching registration fees; players are responsible for uniforms and tournament expenses.
Award amounts are based on family needs and available funds.
Applications are evaluated based on financial need, and funds are distributed after team formation.
Each family may submit one application per 12-month period.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis, with deadlines on August 1st and February 1st. Emergency requests are considered outside these cycles.
Applicants will be notified via email within three weeks of the deadline or receipt of application for emergency requests.
Criteria and Eligibility:
Families facing economic barriers preventing participation in club soccer are eligible to apply.
Financial need is the sole criterion for awarding assistance.
Applicants must provide proof of need, such as government assistance records or income documentation. Failure to provide proper documentation will delay processing.
In the absence of official records, applicants may submit a written statement outlining their financial situation.
ESCO does not discriminate based on sex, race, color, creed, or religious beliefs.
Recipient Obligations:
Recipients are expected to attend all practices and games unless excused by the team's Head Coach or Director of Coaching.
Players and parents are encouraged to volunteer for ESCO and/or Club activities.
Demonstrating proper sportsmanship is required at all soccer programs and ESCO activities.
