Mission: Camp Rewind is a summer camp experience for grown ups who miss (or missed out on) summer camp. We strive to create an inclusive camp experience that focuses on having fun, building community, and rekindling our inner child.
Description:
Camp will run from Friday evening, August 22nd, to Monday morning, August 25th. Each day we will have opportunities to engage in communal experiences aimed at fostering youthful joy, getting outside and being around other humans who miss camp. We will stay in cabins*, eat in a mess hall, and have a nurse and doctor on duty for the guaranteed injuries that we acquire.
Participate to whatever level you feel comfortable! We want to build community and have fun. Being overstimulated or having a headache is a great reason to skip an activity and go rest. Feeling uncomfortable with the rec activity is a great reason to sit and cheer instead. And, of course, always be respectful of other campers.
*a note about lodging: There are cottages with four rooms that have four bunks each, and group cabins that have bunks for up to 16 guests. When you arrive at camp, you will select your cottage room or cabin and your bunk-mates based on who you feel most comfortable sharing housing with. While we highly encourage partners to come to camp together, we recognize that rooming as partners can be very isolating for our single campers. For this reason, we strongly encourage partners to room in separate cottage rooms or cabins. This will make our environment more inclusive and give everyone ample opportunity to have the classic camp experience of sneaking around and finding some bushes to makeout behind.

FAQ:
"Is this a religious or faith based camp?"
No, this is focused around building community and having fun! We recognize that many who will be there have experienced religious trauma and losses related to the church. We are taking care not to add to that.
There will be one or two optional opportunities to process some of those losses for those who want to.
This is an opportunity to reclaim the joy and community of camp without the parts that bruised or battered.
