++Presentation:++ ++Stormwater Quality in South Carolina++
Presented by Brent Hutchinson, P.E.
SC Engineered Product Manager - Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc.
Mr. Hutchinson is a civil engineering graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with an emphasis in transportation design. His 17 years in stormwater include nearly ten years with a construction products manufacturer in Georgia providing design assistance with metal and HDPE pipes, underground chambers produced by multiple manufacturers, as well as multiple proprietary water quality devices. He’s designed commercial projects utilizing above ground and underground detention/retention systems in the private sector in route to obtaining his South Carolina PE license in water resources. Brent has now been with ADS for three years as the South Carolina engineering representative.
Brent will discuss the current status of stormwater quality in South Carolina, covering flow vs. volume based treatments and touching on associated best management practices. He will also discuss underground detention/retention design associated with water quality and quantity.
++COVID-19 Policies++
Due to ongoing concerns associated with COVID-19, we will be limiting attendance to 50% capacity for this event. We will be monitoring registration and if adjustments need to be made to allow for more members or more non-members to register we will do so, but the total half capacity is 24.
As of August 11th, ReWa began requiring masks for all employees and visitors (regardless of vaccination status) while inside meeting rooms and all common areas. This decision aligns with current CDC and DHEC recommendations that everyone – regardless of vaccination status – wear a mask in public indoor settings in areas of substantial or high transmission. Greenville County’s COVID transmission rate is “high”. Once in the Lab Room, if comfortable, attendees can remove masks. Otherwise, masks are required when entering/exiting the building, walking to the restroom, or otherwise moving about the building.
Masks are allowed to be removed in our common areas and conference rooms if people maintain a distance of 6 feet apart. Otherwise, for everyone’s safety, masks should remain on. We encourage social distancing and hand washing.
**If you are attending in person, please fill out the attached COVID Questionnaire and bring it with you to the meeting. **This is ReWa's form and includes 3 health related questions about COVID (if any answer is yes, you will be denied entry). If you haven't filled out the form: upon arrival, you will need to check-in at ReWa's kiosk at the front desk. We are trying to minimize any lines the day of the meeting. Please contact Grant Hollis at ghollis@heath-lineback.com if you have any questions about this process.
