Family Legacy: A Timeless Bond
Family reunions are a powerful way to reconnect, share inspiring stories, and fortify the unbreakable bonds that unite us. These gatherings pass down values, strengthen our heritage, and uplift one another.
The Williamson LaRoda Family Reunions began in 1983. What an unforgettable experience in Miami! Over 400 relatives traveled from the Bahamas, all over the United States and wherever they were throughout the world. Since then, we’ve come together in various USA cities and the Bahamas. We bridged distances and strengthening ties at the reunions in Miami, Maryland, Washington DC, Nassau, Freeport, Orlando, Atlanta, and Houston.
The last reunion in Houston sparked a new flame, with plans for Orlando, until the pandemic intervened. After losing our beloved Leslie Sweeting, Salome, and Karen Stafford, we found renewed purpose in our family’s enduring legacy. The family branches of the Williamson and LaRoda siblings laid an unshakeable foundation, transcending time and circumstance.
In 2025, we gather to celebrate our resilient heritage. We invite you to contribute to our collective story by sharing names and relations of Williamson LaRoda siblings. Please complete the Heritage Form and share photos of the siblings for our documentary book. More to come.
