6/1 Tour de PKS

A gran fondo road bike ride from San Francisco to Pt Reyes Station and back. Approximately 80-90 miles round trip, depending on where in the city we start from.

  • Ride from San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge, through Sausalito, Mill Valley, Larkspur, Ross, San Anselmo, Fairfax, and up into West Marin by way of Nicasio, into Pt Reyes Station. We take a lunch break in Pt Reyes Station, then return via Sir Francis Drake. The terrain is a mix of flats and rolling hills, with a couple climbs thrown in.
  • NO DROP RIDE. We ride together as much as we can, and make periodic meet-ups at designated rest stops.
  • FULLY SUPPORTED. Ride will be fully-supported by Nick Martinelli (Imogen G6) and his decked-out Sprinter van, which will be supplied with hydration, nutrition/snacks, and basic mechanical needs. The van will meet the group at designated rest stops along the route.
  • Date: Sunday June 1, start time 9am. Will be an all-day ride.
  • This ride is for folks who have some experience with road cycling. The goal is for a fun and casual day on the bike. No need to break personal records (unless you want to).
  • Minimum 10 riders, maximum 20 riders.
  • Cost: $75. Covers cost of hydration, nutrition/snacks, and fuel for the van. Whatever leftover goes to PKS.
  • The Pt Reyes Station lunch stop is ad hoc, and riders cover their own lunches.
