Trevor Spano is an amazing 12-year old boy who has touched the lives of so many in our Somers community. Diagnosed with Mitochondrial DNA Deletion Syndrome at a young age, Trevor has faced every challenge with strength, determination, and humor. He brings joy to everyone around him.
Right now, Trevor is facing another health battle. He has been hospitalized at Boston Children's Hospital for nearly 2 months following a serious and unexpected medical event. While he continues to fight with bravery, his family is emotionally, physically and financially impacted.
Trevor's parents, Todd and Emma, have been by his side in Boston every step of the way, while their younger son Greyson travels between the hospital and Somers, surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends at home. The separation, uncertainty and strain of this extended hospitalization result in time away from work, school and significant cost.
