Dawg Ball Camps

Welcome to year three of Dawg Ball Camps! Dawg Ball is run by MiLB (Colorado Rockies) hitting coach Trevor Burmeister, and professional baseball player Nick Gile, both Wisconsin natives.

What makes the Dawg Ball experience different and more worthwhile from any other camp is we limit our camps to only 12 participants. This is to ensure we can have significant one on one contact with each camper, making the teaching more individualized to each attendee. Most camps are open for 30+ attendees where there is essentially no individualized attention. In addition, we focus on natural human movement. We are not a "one size fits all" operation. We utilize drills that focus on the following: 1) maintaining athleticism, 2) landing on time and in a good position to hit, 3) bat path and direction to increase adjustability, 4) most importantly, the "brakes" of the swing to increase force into the baseball.

What also makes us unique is we provide a journal to each camper to help encourage a more impactful learning environment. We provide a lot of information, and we want the campers to retain as much as they can!

The mental side of the game is important to us as well. We will have conversations with the campers about mindset, dealing with failure, life choices, and overall competitiveness (aka being a DAWG).

If you sign up for a Dawg Ball Camp, in addition to the camp experience, you will be gifted the following:

  1. A private PowerPoint with drills that you get to keep to help with your learning and development away from a Dawg Ball Camp!
  2. Free invitations to Zoom conversations with MLB and MiLB special guests twice a month starting in November, ending in January. Here you can listen, learn, and ask any questions to special guests who are coaching or playing at the highest levels! Our first call will be November 12th, at 7pm central, with Rockies 1st and 2nd round picks of the 2024 draft Charlie Condon, and Jared Thomas! MLB big leaguers Jordan Beck and Hunter Goodman have also already committed, as well as former MLB big league manager Clint Hurdle! We want you there live to hear and speak with our special guests!

We strive to make the Dawg Ball experience different than anything out there. Our experience isn't just limited to camp day, we want to keep our Dawg Ball community together which is why we are so excited to offer the MLB and MiLB special guest zoom calls! All you have to do is sign up to make this one of the most impactful winters of baseball development you've ever experienced!
