This year our winter sport activity is something new, tubing at Winterplace! Ride a tube down a snowy slope, then ride the "magic carpet" back to the top and do it all over again!
We will depart Durham 8:15am on Saturday, drive to Winterplace in West Virginia for a tubing session (1-3pm). Then we will drive about 1 hour to "Adventures on the Gorge" where we will stay in rustic but heated cabins overnight. In the morning, we will pack up and go for a hike in New River Gorge National Park. Then we will have a 4 hour drive back to Durham - arriving approximately 5pm.
Your trip fee includes tubing, transportation, meals Sat dinner through Sun lunch plus snacks, and lodging.
We will need 1-2 adults to drive/chaperone; email Cindy to put your name on the interest list (and include the number of passengers you can seat). Adults must be registered and background checked. Tubing optional. Female preferred due to cabin arrangements.
If we have more interest in this trip than spaces available, we can add more spaces if we have enough drivers.
