Show your Titan Pride by supporting the new Rick Bye Fieldhouse.
Stevenson High School (Sterling Heights, MI) is undergoing significant improvements thanks to the Utica Community Schools bond proposal approved in 2023 which will support an overhaul of of athletic facilities. As part of these improvements, the current weight room will be transformed into a state-of-the-art fieldhouse for use by all SHS students. The District’s investment will cover major infrastructure upgrades to the space such as ventilation, lighting and flooring, however, athletic equipment is not included in the District’s investment.
Consistent with its purpose to promote Titan athletics, the Stevenson Athletic Booster Club is leading the fundraising effort to ensure that the new fieldhouse provides a premium athletic training environment for students and athletes alike. Weight racks, free weights, cardio machines and other necessary training equipment for the space is estimated to cost an additional $200,000.
The District will begin infrastructure updates in summer 2025 at which time equipment purchases will begin. The fieldhouse is expected to be completed during the 2025-26 school year.
Named in honor of legendary Stevenson football coach Rick Bye, who led the Titans to numerous victories, the fieldhouse will be a tribute to his legacy.
SHS parents, family, community members, alumni, and local businesses are invited to support the fieldhouse effort by donating to the Rick Bye Fieldhouse fundraising campaign.
