RAR Middle School - Winter 2024
Welcome to the RowAmerica Rye Middle School Winter 2024 registration page!
The winter season consists entirely of indoor training, and plays a major role in developing rowers into competitive high school athletes. The practices will involve using the rowing machines to build technical skills and athlete's fitness levels, as well as performing various bodyweight exercises to help athletes get stronger. Our goal is to build each athlete's strength, fitness, and technical capabilities on land, to best support their ability to row on the water.
Our Middle School program is open to athletes of all experience levels. Whether you know nothing about rowing, or have been rowing for multiple years, we welcome everyone!
The program is split into three groups: 6th Grade, 7th Grade, and 8th Grade. Please register your child for their appropriate Grade group. If your child is unable to make the practice days for their grade, please email us at info@rowamericarye.com , and we will see if we can fit them in on another day!
If the group you are hoping to join is full, please register for the waitlist and we will let you know if more spots open up.
6th GradeSession Dates: December 4-February 12
*There will be no practice the following days: Dec 23-Jan 5Practice Days: Wednesday/Friday - 6:15-7:45pm
7th GradeSession Dates: December 2 - February 10
*There will be no practice the following days: Dec 23-Jan 5Practice Days: Monday - 6:15-7:45pm, Thursday - 4:30-6:00pm
8th GradeSession Dates: December 3 - February 11
*There will be no practice the following days: Dec 23-Jan 5Practice Days: Tuesday/Thursday 6:15-7:45pm, Saturday - 10:15-11:45am
Inclement Weather Cancellations:
Please note that we have built in an extra week at the end of the season by 1 week to allow for up to 3 cancellations for bad weather for each of the programs. In the case of a cancellation, we will email ahead of time.
Missed PracticesPlease note that there are no makeups for missed practices.
Payment MethodPlease note that we will not be accepting payments by check. Cheddar Up charges us the same fee for checks and e-checks, so for administrative purposes, we will only be accepting payment by e-check and credit card.
