The Hull Family Home & Farmstead is excited to introduce a project dedicated to preserving and demonstrating historic cooking methods. This traditional wood-fired oven will serve as an interactive learning space where visitors can experience 19th-century baking and open hearth cooking techniques firsthand.
Once completed, the bake oven will be used for live demonstrations, workshops, and special events, showcasing the art of hearth baking as it was practiced in early America. Guests will have the opportunity to see—and taste—authentic breads, pies, and other baked goods made just as they would have been in the early 1800s.
Your donation will directly support the construction of this bake oven, ensuring we can provide engaging, hands-on experiences that connect our community with the rich culinary history of Western New York. And thanks to a generous donor's matching grant, every donation is instantly doubled! Join us in making history come alive—one loaf at a time.
