Pie the Principal Read-a-Thon is definitely one for the books!!! PTO encourages a love for reading by also making some fun happen! Winning students from each grade have the opportunity to win the chance to PIE THE PRINCIPAL in the FACE!!!!
Please make a pledge to encourage reading as well as raise money for books for every Jerry Thomas Elementary student. It is PTO's goal to provide every student with a brand new book, that is their choice and level, to keep at the end of the school year.
Our Read-A -Thon will be based on the total number of minutes our students read over Spring Break.
Please, no audiobooks.
THERE ARE 2 WAYS TO MAKE A PLEDGE.
I. Sponsor a student for a flat amount. If you pledge a flat donation of $25, no matter how much the student reads you will donate $25.
2. Pledge an amount for minutes read. For example, if a student reads 200 minutes and you sponsored this student for 10 cents a minute you would donate $20. (200 min read x .10 per min)
Choose your donation level, or give any amount that feels right for you. Together, we can further encourage a love of reading. Thank you for your generosity!
