Help us build our dream school!

Nature School of York tailors education to the needs of each individual child. Young minds are best suited to the small, outdoor, screen-free, mixed-age classes we provide. Students’ minds and bodies remain active and engaged, while their spirits are free to question and explore.

Classes are outdoors in all seasons and provide learners the opportunity to better understand the rhythm of their own bodies, as well as their place in the wider world. Alongside woods, our new location also has goats, chickens, fruit trees, a pond, and gardens that the children will help tend.

We have already begun renovations at our new location, a 10 acre wooded farm in Seven Valleys. Our school is being built by our community of families. Parents and community members are donating their time, energy, skills, and resources to upgrade the electrical panels, clear trees for the driveway, build the storm water management system, paint, install plumbing, install flooring, and clear trails in the woods. We meet regularly for family work and play days to get the new location ready for students. We want families and children to have a sense of ownership and pride in their school.

While we have the determination and man power, we are in need of funding.

Please donate now to our school building fund!

Every little bit helps!
