¡Hola! Calling all Girl Scout sisters! You are invited to a Girl Scout Cinco De Mayo Food Festival! Please join Windsor Girl Scout Troop 11302 as they host a Girl Scout Cinco De Mayo Food Festival. We hope you enjoy participating in this recorded event us as we share Girl Scout Sisterhood with girls around the country, while cooking, earning badges, and learning about foods often enjoyed on Cinco De Mayo.
Girls should come hungry to this food festival! Your Girl Scout will prepare and enjoy many foods in a short period of time, some of which will be enough to share.
During this festival:
Brownies will earn their Brownie Snacks Badges; Juniors will earn their Junior Simple Meals Badges; Cadettes will earn their Cadette New Cuisines Badges; Daisies will earn the Girls of Many Lands IP Badge.
Girls will also:
• Learn about Cinco de Mayo
• Recite the Girl Scout Promise and Law in Spanish
• Prepare food often enjoyed on Cinco De Mayo
There will be a special guest who is passionate about her Mexican heritage and culture, and will share a traditional recipe as we learn about this Mexican holiday which is celebrated in a big way in the United States.
Girl Scouts who attend this festival**** may earn their**** Cooking and Life Skills National Proficiency Badges (Brownie Snacks Badges, Junior Simple Meals Badges, Cadette New Cuisines Badges) OR if they have already earned those, they can earn their Girls of Many Lands Badges which are available in four shapes: Daisy, Brownie, Junior and CSA (Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador.) Festival registration is OPEN NOW! This event is recorded A materials list and printouts and recording will be sent out within 48 hours of registration.
Cost: $12 per girl
All Girl Scouts are invited & welcome; This Girl Scout Cinco De Mayo Food Festival is appropriate for Girl Scouts of all levels. A trusted adult or parent should be present the entire time.
