Edgebrook School Friends (ESF), the parent run organization for Edgebrook School, is excited to host our Walkathon on October 6, 2023 to help raise funds to support STEM, the arts program, technology, Interventionists, Field Day as well as various capital improvements (security, sound system) and educational activities not covered by the CPS budget. We need your support! The premise is simple - each participant will walk as many laps as they can within a half hour and in the process, help raise money for our school. We are looking forward to getting everyone outdoors, on their feet and "soaring" to meet our goals!
T-shirts and Snacks: All Edgebrook students will be participating during school hours and will be given a free t-shirt and snack.
Donation: We invite you to participate in this event through your donation to the student(s) who will spend 30 minutes walking as many laps as possible. Each child will be taking home a pledge sheet to track and secure individual donations. If you would like to donate directly, you can utilize the link below. Cash, check or other electronic methods will also be accepted. Parents, neighbors, colleagues, family and friends are all welcome to sponsor! Any amount is appreciated, so feel free to pass along this link. Our goal is for each family to raise $200 in donations(that's just 10 $20 donations!!).
Sponsorship: With a single donation of $250 or more, your family's name or company name will be proudly displayed on our Edgebrook Walkathon inflatable arch.
Yard Signs: Motivating yard signs will be placed along the path to help cheer on the participants. Families and friends are welcome to purchase signs ($20/each) through ESF and to decorate as they wish! You can purchase a sign for your child below and we will notify you when they are ready for pickup. We will also have tables set up a few times to sell in person.
Prizes: The classroom with the highest amount of money raised will have the option of a volleyball or kickball party, silly string the mascot, color party or Chocolate Shoppe visit for their class. There will also be the opportunity for an extra recess or a popcorn/movie party for all classes with 100% participation.
All forms of payment (electronic as well as cash/check) will be taken into account and tallied before winning classes are declared.
