Docs for Diapers: Helps Keep Babies Clean, Dry and Healthy
Babies need clean, dry diapers for their health and well-being. Families who struggle to afford a sufficient supply resort to unsafe diapering practices including reusing the diapers they have and keep them on babies for longer periods of time resulting in rash, infection and significant bacterial infections like impetigo or cellulitis. Currently the government does not recognize diapers as an essential need and no program (not SNAP, WIC or Medicaid) allocates dollars for their purchase.
