Dan Provost lived his entire life in Saratoga Springs and passed away in 2014, at age 23, as a result of a drug overdose, after struggling for several years with substance use disorder. In 2018 and 2019, the Dan Provost Memorial Walk for Awareness and Recovery was held on the Skidmore College campus. We are not able to hold the Memorial Walk this year due to COVID-19 restrictions and concerns. Dan’s 30th birthday would have been October 3rd. Reworking this year’s event, we invite you to the Healing Springs Recovery Community and Outreach Center at 125 High Rock Avenue, Saratoga Springs, where we will have recovery information available, speakers, the popular raffle, refreshments and the opportunity for you to tour the Healing Springs Recovery Center. Come meet the amazing people who work at the Center, see the facility that has become the hub of Saratoga recovery and that has benefited from donations from our prior walks. We continue our mission to remember lives taken too soon, raise awareness of addiction, educate the community about recovery services, and celebrate those living in recovery.
