This will be Emerging Sprouts Forest School's 3rd year offering Afterschool Forest School at Parker Woods Montessori! During Afterschool Forest School, students will explore the natural world, play games, go on hikes, and observe bugs and other small creatures. All of our activities are based on voluntary participation, and we help students feel at home in the outdoors. Our curriculum focuses on teamwork, empathy towards people and nature, and caring for the natural world. Many students excel in science and math in the classroom after participating in our hands-on outdoor classes. We have also seen significant growth in many of our students' social and emotional development!
Our classes serve the entire school and we offer sliding-scale tuition, payment plans, as well as scholarships. Want to apply for a scholarship? You can apply here.
Payment plans: if you would like to sign up but cannot pay the tuition for the entire school year, we understand and found a way for you to hold your space, and pay over time. Here's how to do it
You can pay a deposit today, and fill out your child's paperwork.
The remainder will be billed to you with a payment plan.
Use code the DEPOSIT when checking out to pay one-third of your tuition.
The rest of your tuition will be invoiced to you via Email through Square. *Please note that you must initiate a payment within 7 days of receiving the payment plan email in order to not loose your child's space in our program.
How does the class work?
Students join Forest School from dismissal at Parker Woods Montessori. Please notify the school that your child will be dismissed as a Walker on Forest School days. Our teachers will help students to sign in at Forest School under the Oak Tree just North of the Preschool Playground at Parker Woods Montessori School.
The Afterschool Enrichment Class is from 3:30-6:00 PM. During this class, we hike, play games, eat snacks, and learn about local flora and fauna. Our class focuses on hands-on nature and social-emotional curriculum. Pick-up is from 5:45-6:00 PM exact location will be emailed to you.
Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday enrollment. You can pay a deposit or your child's full tuition.
Students can sign up for one, two, or three days per week. The tuition is per Day for the entire School Year.
