BeTa Community Programs is excited to present a wide variety of summer enrichment programs for your elementary and middle school-aged children. Summer programs will be held on the beautiful campus of Saratoga Independent School located at 459 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs. Join us for a summer full of learning, exploring, and fun.
Morning Program: 9 - 11:30 am
Afternoon Program: 12:30 - 3 pm

MORNING: SCAVENGER HUNT SCIENCE - This exciting class is just like a scavenger hunt your student knows and loves, with a science twist! This class will challenge students to make their way around the classroom and their outdoor space to decipher clues to put together pieces of a scientific puzzle! Students will need to work together each day to solve riddles and codes to search for hidden objects. Throughout the week students will also have the opportunity to create and try out their very own scavenger hunt!

AFTERNOON: INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTER SCIENCE & CODING (GRADES 2-5) - Learn to create computer programs, develop problem-solving skills, and work through fun challenges! Make games and creative projects to share with friends and family. Students will need to provide their own laptop, Chromebook, or tablet.

MORNING: ARTS & CRAFTS - Give your child the opportunity to unlock their artistic potential and explore their creative side in our Creative Arts and Crafts Program! Whether a beginner or an experienced artist, this class is designed to inspire, teach, and foster passion for crafting and creating beautiful works of art. Different arts and crafts projects each day! Paint, sew, cut, glue, sparkle – make something for yourself or a friend!

MORNING: HIP HOP DANCE - Hip-hop is a high-energy class that will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip-hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. This is a fun, upbeat class with high energy and a ton of fun! AFTERNOON: BASKETBALL & OUTDOOR GAMES - Elevate your skills, get in some exercise, and have fun with your friends! Coach Dallas Wells will lead the group in basketball skills and fun activities. Sports such as dodgeball, kickball, football, soccer, and more may be mixed in for more fun depending on class interest.

AFTERNOON: INTRODUCTION TO PYTHON CODING (GRADES 5-8) - Create Anything You Imagine. Want to make games? Create a website or cool digital art? No matter what makes you excited about computer programming, Python's wide variety of modules make creating applications fast. Basic Python programming concepts form the foundation for understanding and effectively utilizing the language in various applications. Students will need to provide their own laptop, chromebook, or tablet.

MORNING: RECYCLED ART TREASURES - A fun-filled class utilizing recycled materials. Students will appreciate how found and recycled objects can be transformed into art. Projects include character treat jars, egg carton flowers, shelf sitters, water bottle animals, and much more.

MORNING: BREAKDANCING - Coach Alex from 518Break is happy to bring Breakdancing to the youth in Upstate NY! Students will learn the core breakdance movements and patterns in a fun and engaging way. From moves like Shuffles, Backspin, and Swipes, students will learn the techniques needed to create their own Breakdance combinations, as well as their very own moves! No previous experience is required.

AFTERNOON: STEM SAMPLER WITH LEGO - Join us for a week of fun STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math). In this class, we will capture your child’s imagination and stimulate their creativity with various activities including science/engineering experiments, cooking science and nutrition, brain games (including Legos!), arts and crafts, music, and more. Also, be ready for a new twist on outdoor games that will challenge your mind and body. Learning is disguised as fun, and this is a great way to build confidence and friendships!

AFTERNOON: CHESS MATES - Chess Class for All Levels of Experience! Are you interested in learning or improving your chess skills? This class is perfect for both beginners and intermediate players. We will cover the fundamentals of the game, including the rules, board set-up, piece actions and moves, chess terminology, and opening strategies. Additionally, chess offers players the opportunity to develop valuable life skills such as planning, problem-solving, focus, concentration, creativity, spatial awareness, and logic while improving reading and math abilities. Students will receive all necessary materials and instruction from a qualified Chess instructor. Join us to discover the timeless game of chess and play for a lifetime.

We have a passion for teaching children and providing enrichment opportunities for people of all ages.
