Presentation: Geopier Ground Improvement Systems
Presented by Sean Windt, P.E. (Geopier Foundation Company)
Geopier introduced Rammed Aggregate Pier (RAP) technology to the industry in 1989 as an intermediate foundation solution that cost clients 20 to 50 percent less than deep foundations. Today over 10,000 structures worldwide are supported by RAP technologies which are used to reinforce inadequate soils, variable & uncontrolled fills, and soils below the ground water table.
Sean Windt, P.E. serves as the Mid-Atlantic Area Manager for Geopier Foundation Company. He obtained his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and has over 10 years experience in consulting and ground improvement.
