Overview
Tryouts for the upcoming Thunder Fastpitch season (beginning mid-August) will be held July 20th – 22nd at Prospect High School.
Thunder Fastpitch is a fun, competitive program focused on teaching fundamentally sound softball. Our mission is to help every player improve and achieve their goals — whether that’s making a high school team or playing at the collegiate level.
Just as importantly, we emphasize what it means to be part of a team. Our players develop a strong sense of responsibility and commitment, and they genuinely love being together — on and off the field.
Thunder teams work hard and consistently see that effort pay off. We’re proud to have a 100% success rate for high school players trying out, with many earning Varsity spots before their junior or senior year. And our teams routinely perform well in local and regional tournaments. For players interested in playing at the next level, our Thunder Premier teams offer college exposure events and elite training to help turn that dream into reality.

Please note: Players only need to attend one night of tryouts.
2025 - 25 Age Eligibility Changes
USSSA (as well as other governing bodies) has updated its age eligibility cutoff to September 1 starting with the 2025 – 26 season. You can view the full age chart here. Please register your player for the age level they are most interested in trying out for. If your player is open to being considered for multiple age levels, you’ll have the opportunity to indicate that during the registration process. This helps us plan appropriately and ensures every athlete is evaluated where they feel most comfortable and competitive.
