The PS 185 PTA brings together parents and staff to address the needs of our school community. Unfortunately, the Department of Education funds do not cover all the expenses that the school needs to be the amazing learning community we all know and love. That's where the PTA comes in! Led by an executive board of elected parents, the PTA meets monthly and raises funds to support:
Academic programming such as Into Reading, Envision & Rigby.
Classroom supplies for teachers.
Enrichment activites such as the Cultural Fair.
Family Fun and school-wide events such as the Halloween Dance and Outdoor Movie Night.
5th grade graduation.
And much more!
Our membership drive is cruical to ensuring that our children continue to receive the educational and enriching experiences our school has to offer. Any amount is greatly appreciated. However, we are requesting each family make a donation of $185, if they are able to.
