Dear IS 187 Community,
Did you know that the Department of Education does not provide funding for such necessities as air conditioners, sports equipment, school supplies or even security systems? We want a comfortable and safe environment for our children and their educators. We are asking for contributions to help support our school. The IS 187 PTO serves as a catalyst for maintaining the warm, nurturing, inclusive community which is so important to educating our children. Make your contribution now so funds will be there for this year's needs. Our suggested donation is $187 per family but any donations are greatly appreciated. Give what you can to support the school.
Your donations provide funds for
Supporting purchases of equipment and materials for the school not funded by the DOE
Supporting our children's social events and milestones, such as New Student Orientation, National Junior Honor Society, graduation and senior dance
Ensuring every child can participate in enriching activities such as school trips
Supporting talks and presentations that open new perspectives for our children and parents
